Meet Our Director
Welcome! My name is Cassandra Berry. I am the future Owner and Director of Believers Early Learning Childcare coming in Fall 2025. I am currently attending Oakland Community College and finishing my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. My plan is to operate a license daycare teaching Head Start and PreschooI age children.
I was born in Washington, D.C. and raised by my grandmother. I graduated from Theodore Roosevelt, High School. I enjoy traveling, spending time with my husband, six children and three grand-loves. My ability to connect with children came naturally at an early age. My grandmother operated a in-home daycare. As a young girl, I had a front seat witnessing how she effortlessly nurtured, loved, and showed compassion towards all who came in contact with her. After retiring from my corporate job in 2018, I was ready to embrace my goal of getting an Associates Degree in a field that is very dear to me. For years, I have served in various capacities as a Youth Sunday School Teacher, Youth Counselor, Children Choir Director and current Director of Believers Community Outreach Center Youth Mentoring Program in Pontiac, M.I.
Being a teacher/educator is a rewarding and meaningful career that goes beyond simply providing students with information. I like the creativity and indepedance teaching offers. In some ways, teaching is one of the most impactful professions because it plays such a crucial role in shaping young people's minds and lives.
